• Designed the architecture for Uber's entire software stack, including the real-time dispatch system, mobile apps, pricing system, queuing systems and data science systems
• Managed the engineering team from 3 engineers up to 40 engineers before hiring another CTO to take over management so I could build new businesses within Uber
• Created the Growth team to do data analysis and build tools to allow Uber to expand to every city in the world
• Started UberEATS and led the engineering team to design an entirely new software stack to support restaurant integrations, menu systems, a new mobile app and operations tools
• Started UberFreight and led the engineering team to design an entirely new software stack to integrate with large freight carriers, shippers and drivers

Expensify

• Built the backend business logic, frontend website and mobile app for iOS
• Built a workflow system for automated receipt scanning by both AI and humans within 15 seconds of receipt upload

Akamai Technologies

• Built the client-side Javascript library for the P2P download manager used by companies such as Adobe, Blizzard and the NFL
• Embedded onsite at large clients and rewrote their software, such as Blizzard's Battle.net, to be powered by the P2P software stack

• Designed, built and maintained all software for this search engine marketing company as the sole software engineer, including websites, content management systems, tools for data import/export, and automated pricing algorithms

Roboserver Systems

• Built a restaurant point-of-sale system from spare parts for Harney Sushi in Old Town
• Expanded and rewrote the software to include multiple terminals, a routing engine for orders to various parts of the kitchen, and advanced analytics and management tools
• Built the first self-serve restaurant kiosk and deployed it to several quick service restaurants across San Diego
